Version 2.2 Cookie Policy

This cookie policy is provided in accordance with Art. 13 of Regulation EU 679/2016 (General Data Protection Regulation, or "GDPR") by Sidera Funds Sicav, a Luxembourg company based at 2C, rue Albert Borschette L-1246 Luxembourg ("Sidera"), in the capacity of Controller. It describes the methods of processing of personal data relating to the use of cookies on the website www.siderafunds.com. For the other information indicated in Art. 13 of the GDPR, see the website's general privacy policy.

Definitions, characteristics and application of the regulation

Cookies are small text files that websites visited by you send and record on your computer or mobile device, only then to be sent back to the same websites at the next visit. Cookies enable a website to remember your actions and preferences (such as login data, chosen language, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not have to be indicated again when you return to visit the website or browse from one page to another. Therefore, cookies are used to carry out IT authentications, session monitoring and storing of information regarding your activities when you access a website and they may also contain a unique identification code that allows your browsing on that website to be tracked for statistical or advertising purposes. Some operations may not be completed without using cookies, which, in some cases, are therefore technically necessary for the functioning of the website itself.

When browsing on a website, you may receive on your computer or mobile device cookies of websites or web servers other than the one you are visiting (known as "third party" cookies). The various types of cookie, depending on their characteristics and functions, may remain on your computer or mobile device for different periods of time: for example, so-called session cookies are automatically cancelled when you close the browser, while so-called persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period of time..

Based upon the legislation in force in Italy, your express consent is not always required for the use of cookies. In particular, so-called "technical cookies", namely those used for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by you, do not require consent. These are, in other words, cookies that are essential for the functioning of the website or necessary to carry out activities requested by you.

Technical cookies, which do not require express consent for their use, in accordance with the Italian Data Protection Supervisory Authority (see Measure Identification of simplified methods for the privacy policy and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies of 8 May 2014 and subsequent clarifications, hereafter just "Measure"), also include:

  • "analytics cookies" when used directly by the website operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and on how they visit the website,
  • browsing or session cookies (for authentication),
  • functionality cookies, which allow you to browse the website based upon a series of selected criteria (for example, language, products chosen for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.

For so-called "profiling cookies", on the other hand, namely those aimed at creating profiles relating to you and used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences manifested by you when browsing online, your prior consent is required.

Cookie settings

You can block or disable the use of third party cookies by selecting the following options:

Technical cookies

These cookies are necessary for the functioning of the website, with particular reference to normal browsing, use of the website and to guarantee your security, and they cannot be deactivated. The browser can be set to block these cookies, but, consequently, some or all parts of the website will not function. These cookies do not store personal information.
